Black Lives Matter Founders Reportedly Used Donations To Buy $6 Million California Mansion
According to new shocking report from ‘New York Magazine,’ the three leaders of Black Lives Matter, Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Melina Abdullah recorded a video last summer that has recently come to light. In the video, the women are sitting outside the undisclosed $6 million mansion, as they marked the first anniversary of the murder of George Floyd. The lavish home was reportedly bought with donations from Black Lives Matter.
The 6,500-square-foot estate has over six bedrooms and bathrooms, multiple fireplaces, a pool and parking for more than 20 cars. The home was reportedly purchased back in October 2020 with funds that had been donated to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation. It was purchased by Dyane Pascall two weeks after Black Lives Matter received $66.5 million from its fiscal sponsor. Pascall is the financial manager for Janaya and Patrisse Consulting — an LLC operated by Patrisse Cullors and her spouse, Janaya Khan.

Ownership of the property was then transferred to an LLC in Delaware—which ensured that the property’s owner wouldn’t be revealed. According to the organization it’s purpose is to provide a safe house for Black Lives Matter activists as well as serve as a studio for creating abolition based content.
You’ll recall that organization co-founder Patrisse Cullors, resigned back in May 2021 as the BLM executive director following criticism for buying three homes in Los Angeles area and Atlanta. Meanwhile, BLM board member Shalomyah Bowers stated that BLM had “always planned” to disclose the home’s legal filings and it doesn’t serve as anyone’s personal residence. However, according to research from USA Today the NY Magazine article doesn’t account for her other streams of income.
USA Today reports that the claim that Patrisse Cullors bought four luxury homes is missing context. The media outlet’s research revealed no evidence that the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation funds were used to purchase any properties.
Additionally, Cullors has held several other jobs in addition to her work as the organization’s volunteer executive director, including writing a memoir and developing content for Warner Brothers.
