Everyone wants credit, especially content creators, for anything going viral! On Thursday, Kia Bhn called out Hurricane Chris after releasing his song ‘My Bay, ‘ which samples Kia’s Jersey Club’ Anniversary Mix.’ As we previously reported, Kia expressed her anger claiming the rapper was moving “goofy” by excluding her and the other producers of the song from the music video. With Kia, residents of New Jersey, and Cookiee Kawaii calling out the rapper for not representing the Jersey club music culture properly, we had to get the tea!

We reached out to Chris about Kia’s claims, and he exclusively told us, “They stole my bike, spray painted it, and called it theirs. My mom told me to go get my bike back. Plain and simple. Now they are talking about how they washed it and fixed it up. Tell ’em thanks. And by the way, they never shouted me out when they went viral with my music. I am the creator of ‘A Bay Bay.'”

He continued, “Big Hurricane. I tried to let Lil momma (Kai) be a part of it, but she started acting weird and giving everybody credit except me, so she got left out. She never involved me, so we even. Stream ‘My Bay’ on Music360, Spotify, Apple Music, etc. Shout out to Shaderoom for getting facts.”

This isn’t the first time a content creator called out an artist for not including them in a music video or giving them credit. If you recall in April 2021, City Boy J, the TikToker who created the dance challenge to Mooski’s bop ‘Track Star,’ insinuated on Instagram that he wasn’t included in the video due to his sexuality. Instead, Coi Leray starred as the leading lady.

“Nope. I’m not in the video just because someone doesn’t wanna work with me because of who I am. It will not stop me from what made me who I am today and all I have done for Mooski even if he don’t recognize what I did,” he wrote. “God and all my supporters are what keep me goin’. People might say what did I do? Just know I changed a man’s life, and I’m still working from the bottom with no support like I supported this song.”

Roommates, what do you think about Hurricane Chris’ response?
