Ten Female Rap Tracks That Blessed Listeners Throughout 2022
With 2022 coming to a wrap, excited anticipation over whatâs to come in 2023 is starting to take over. However, before we dive into the new year, we have to look back and acknowledge some of the women in the rap game who made noteworthy moves in 2022.
Here are ten songs by female rappers, in no particular order, that debuted this past year and deserve a shoutout.
âWe Not Humping (Remix)â by Monaleo
First up, we have Monaleoâs remix of âWe Not Humping,â which initially debuted back in 2021. She partnered up with Flo Milli for the revamped bop, and these rappers definitely ATE on the track.
If youâre looking for an energy-filled song that humorously throws shade over a poppinâ beat, Monaleo delivers the perfect solution.
âPretty Girlsâ by Flo Milli
Speaking of Flo Milli, her You Still Here, Ho? album spawned numerous bops, including âConceited,â âBig Steppa,â and âPBC.â However, weâre taking a moment to specifically give âPretty Girlsâ a shoutout, as this fun track is great for hyping yourself up to live your best life!
After all, âGirls just wanna have fun!â
.@_FloMilli is a "real big mood."

âF.N.F. (Letâs Go)â by GloRilla
GloRilla had a phenomenal year by churning out hit after hit. Before beloved tracks like âBlessedâ and âTomorrow 2,â though, it all began with her collab with Hitmaka: âF.N.F. (Letâs Go).â
The Memphis-bred rapper came through with the âsong of the summer,â and sheâs only continued to rise from there. In fact, the hit ultimately became Spotifyâs top viral song.
âMind Yo Businessâ by Lakeyah
Thanks to TikTok and Instagram reels, plenty of people were exposed to âMind Yo Business.â This Lakeyah track graced a number of videos on social media, and for good reason, too!
After all, everyone needs to belt out a good âFirst off, b***h mind yo business!â every now and then.
âBig Energyâ by Latto
Latto unveiled a fun track that played off of âFantasyâ by Mariah Carey this year, and weâd be remiss if we didnât acknowledge this banger!
A remix of âBig Energyâ featuring Mariah herself, as well as DJ Khaled, added to the songâs widespread success. Additionally, it won âSong of the Yearâ at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards.
âTop Notchâ by City Girls
Yung Miami and JT teamed up with Fivio Foreign for this track, and itâs definitely a solid single to help hold fans over for the next City Girls project.
We also have to give it to JT, as her verse in âTop Notchâ went particularly hard!
âBlick Blick!â by Coi Leray
On the heels of 2021 hits like âNo More Partiesâ and âBIG PURR (Prrdd),â Coi Leray partnered with Nicki Minaj to pen another bop: âBlick Blick!â
However, Nicki ultimately revealed that this project almost didnât occur due to drama between her and Coiâs father, Benzino. Thankfully, though, the pair pulled through and brought the track to life.
âMunchâ by Ice Spice
Ice Spice, humorously dubbed the âmodern day Princess Dianaâ by some stans, is another artist who reached widespread success in 2022 with âMunch.â Additionally, she debuted other well-received hits like âBikini Bottomâ and âName of Loveâ this year, too.
We should also add that Ice Spice was recently named the top star on TikTokâs list of the yearâs âEmerging Artists.â So, itâs safe to say that audiences are feelinâ Ice Spice!
âSuper Freaky Girlâ by Nicki Minaj
While the Grammys may not classify âSuper Freaky Girlâ as a rap track, we have to respectfully disagree and give Nicki her flowers.
The songâwhich plays off of âSuper Freakâ by Rick Jamesâwas widely used on social media, and a mashup between âSuper Freaky Girlâ and âLuxuriousâ by Gwen Stefani was particularly popular. Notably, the track was Nicki Minajâs first solo hit to premiere at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

âPlan Bâ by Megan Thee Stallion
Finally, we have âPlan Bâ by Megan Thee Stallion, which was included on her Traumazine album after initially being released as a single.
The H-Town Hottie went IN on the track, and one particular verse that referenced Ice-T captivated fans.
